Or is this some kind of dadaist experimentation on the transitory nature of independent thougt, where the white space represents every writer's inability to overcome hs/her own secret belief that nothing s/he could ever write would truly be his/her own original thought because we are all influenced by everything we've ever read, and so anything we produce is just a regurgitation of other's works?
